GMDC Zanskar, Gargi College, University of Delhi conduct virtual meeting 

Kargil, July 01, 2023:

Govt. Model Degree College, Zanskar and Gargi College, University of Delhi today conducted a virtual meeting to discuss and deliberate upon a future road map for the development of both colleges.

This is the first meeting held between the faculty members of Govt. Model Degree College, Zanskar and the new team of IQAC of Gargi College after the extension of MoU for another 5 years between both institutes on June 08, 2023.

The meeting started with a brief introduction by Dr Sailaja about the activities conducted by Gargi College in collaboration with GMDC, Zanskar in the past; and also pitched new ideas and prospects for upcoming session.

Principal GMDC Zanskar, Nasir Shabani thanked Gargi College for their enthusiasm to work with GMDC Zanskar and shared his view about the possibility of starting short-term online courses in Hindi and English spoken language to improve the communication of students.

The deliberation in the meeting ranged from the holistic development of a student to research collaboration between faculty members to student exchange program.

The meeting also discussed the upcoming exchange program where students and faculty members from Gargi College will be visiting GMDC Zanskar to understand and explore the socio-economic conditions, culture and flora and fauna of Zanskar.

The program will also try to understand the challenges of students studying at such remote and cold geography and how these students can be motivated and mentored to scale new heights in different avenues available in the market.
