Training program on SSR 2024 held in Tehsil Kargil

Kargil, July 01, 2023: District Election Officer Kargil and SVEEP Team Kargil today organized one-day training program for Both Level Officers (BLOs) of Tehsil Kargil in connection with Special Summary Revision (SSR) 2024 at Tehsil Office, Baroo.

The event was attended by Tehsildar Kargil, Kacho Asgar Ali Khan, Naib Tehsildar Kargil, Sajad Hussain, Master Trainer Mohammad Amin, BLO Supervisors and Booth Level Officers (BLOs) of Tehsil Kargil, Bashir Hussain core member of SVEEP were present during the one-day training session.

Speaking on the occasion, Tehsildar Kargil, Kacho Asgar Ali Khan, who is also Assistant Electoral Officer (AERO), said the training will provide inside details about the electoral roll process and duties of BLOs.

He said in a vibrant democracy like India, the responsibility of election process and the duties related to the election are important.

The Tehsildar requested all the BLOs to take maximum benefit of the training session and clear their doubts. He advised all the BLOs to follow the roles and responsibilities assigned to them strictly.

Master Trainer, Mohammad Amin said that house-to-house surveys should be conducted between 21-07-2023 and 27-08-2023, adding that during this period, every BLO has to do door-to-door surveys in their respective polling stations/jurisdiction.

Regarding rationalization of polling stations, he said the consent should be taken from local representatives of the villages including Councilors, Sarpanch, Panch and political parties.

The Master Trainer also informed that many photos of voters in the electoral rolls are missing. He said that the final list of the electoral rolls should not miss the photos of voters.
