CEC chairs meeting regarding shifting of DH to Kurbathang

KARGIL, SEPTEMBER 26, 2022: Chairman and CEC, LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan today chaired a meeting regarding shifting of District Hospital Kargil to the newly constructed 300 bedded Hospital at Kurbathang.

Executive Councilor Health Mohsin Ali, EC Works Mubarak Shah Naqvi, Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil, Santosh Sukhdeve, Chief Medical Officer, Kargil, Executive Officer, MC Kargil, Executive Engineer, Mechanical, Kargil, Executive Engineer, R&B, PHE, PDD, Kargil, along with concerned AEE and JE, Medical Superintendent, DH Kargil, HOD’s of DH Kargil attended the meeting.

A threadbare discussion was held for the shifting of DH Kargil to the newly constructed hospital at Kurbathang which will be having state-of-the-art facilities.

During the meeting, the CEC was informed about the plumbing works of the left wing of hospital, cleaning of Special New Born Care Unit (SNCU), pediatric ward, laundry section, cleaning of hospital surroundings, testing of electric system, trail run of central heating system, progress of elevator, progress of modular OT, progress of dedicated power grid, spare submersible with stabilizer and other facilities.

CEC Khan directed the executing agency to complete all remaining works such as electrical work testing, running of the central heating system on trial basis from September 30. He also suggested a 10-day trial before the full functioning of the new hospital.

Khan directed the concerned to ensure the functioning of DH Kargil till it is shifted to the new hospital. He suggested CMO to take proper assessment of the new hospital building.

The CEC also directed the concerned to ensure water, electricity, heating facilities and other required requirements at utmost priority.

On the occasion, Khan said that LAHDC Kargil will consider to provide accommodation for doctors to make them easily accessible during emergency calls at Council Residential Complex.

While responding to the demands of shortage of manpower at the DH Kargil, DC Santosh directed the CMO to outsource vacant positions.
