CEC Feroz Khan chairs meeting regarding Menstrual Health and Hygiene program to be held on Feb 05

Kargil, Jan 24, 2023:

Chairman/CEC, LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmed Khan today chaired a meeting with concerned District Officers/Officials and members of Baqriya Health Care and Research Centre (BHC&RC) at Council Secretariat, Kargil regarding Menstrual Health and Hygiene program to be held on February 05.

The meeting was attended by District Program Officer ICDS, Chief Education Officer (CEO), Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Kargil and members of the BHC&RC Kargil.

The meeting held a detailed discussion on feasibility and various other aspects to conduct the Menstrual Health and Hygiene program in the district.

While addressing the meeting, the CEC congratulated BHC&RC Kargil for receiving the prestigious State Award in the field of social reform and empowerment protection this year.

He hailed BHC&RC’s efforts for carrying out various philanthropic works in Kargil with a focus on health which is benefitting people belonging to economically marginal sections of society.

The CEC also appreciated the Menstrual Health and Hygiene program of the BHC&RC in the district which is scheduled to be held on February 05, 2023.

Khan assured all possible assistance from LAHDC Kargil and directed CEO, Deputy CMO, and District Program Officer ICDS to invite female staff on the scheduled date.

The CEC also requested members BHC&RC to organize such beneficial programs for rural women folks as well so that maximum women, young and adolescent girls are sensitized about menstrual health and hygiene.
