CEC Feroz Khan flags off 42 artisans of Kargil to showcase local products

KARGIL, DEC 28, 2022: Chairman/CEC, LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan today flagged off 42 artisans of Handicrafts and Handloom Department Kargil, Ladakh to showcase local products in the 4th Edition of Enchanting Ladakh at Dilli Haat.

Executive Councilor, LAHDC, Kargil Syed Mehdi Fazily, Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Santosh Sukhadeve, ADC Kargil Ghulam Mohi-Ud-Din Wani, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Abdul Gaffar Zargar, Chief Planning Officer, Abdul Hadi, Assistant Director Handicrafts, Kargil Dr Niyaz ul Hasnain, Accounts Officer to DC, Shamim Ahmad Wazir besides other concerned officers were present.

The CEC was informed about the exhibition-cum-sale which shall be held showcasing arts, handicrafts, handloom, food products by artisans and craftspeople of Kargil at Dilli Haat.

The stage is all set for the artisans as well as craftspeople to showcase their talent in the 4th Edition of Enchanting Ladakh at Dilli Haat beginning on Jan 1 and will culminate on Jan 15.

Enchanting Ladakh is organized at Dilli Haat every year to expound the rich and diverse Ladakhi culture and tradition. Many of the traditional Ladakhi crafts like stone carving, wood carving, thangka making, metal craft, wood craft will be on display along with live demonstrations at the venue.
