Chairman/CEC LAHDC Kargil takes stock of snow clearance works at the Airport Kargil
Kargil, 14 February 2023: Chairman/Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC Kargil Feroz Ahmed Khan today undertook a visit of the Kargil Airport to take stock of the snow clearance work. On the occasion, he was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Kargil and officers of the Indian Airforce & Mechanical Engineering Division Kargil.
CEC Khan was given to know that by the IAF officials the due to the recent heavy snowfall and the frigid morning times have caused issues with the airport thereby becoming hurdle in the smooth operation of the AN-32 Air Courier Service. He was further informed that snow clearance work was in full swing and that three machines and 25 persons have been assigned the job of clearing the runway.
CEC Khan instructed all the concerned to expedite the work so that the flights of the AN32 Services could be resumed at an earliest.
