Cooperative Department distributes fresh vegetables across Kargil

Despite the severe cold, the Cooperative Department Kargil has distributed fresh vegetables and fruits among the residents of Sankoo,Taisuru, Sodh and Drass subdivisions other than District headquarter
The general public expressed gratitude to the UT Administration, District Administration and Cooperative Department for the distribution of fresh vegetables among the public despite the harsh climatic conditions.
They said that people have got relief with the distribution of fresh vegetables as the Zojila Pass remains closed. Pertinently, the Cooperative Department has also distributed fresh vegetables and fruits in Kargil town.
As per the Deputy Registrar Cooperatives, 40 MTs of fresh vegetables and fruits were received and distributed by the department till date.
The department is making efforts to serve the general public by keeping the availability of fresh vegetables during the winter months which has been widely appreciated by the people across the district.
