EC Tashi inspects developmental works at Sapi village

KARGIL, SEPTEMBER 11, 2022:

Executive Councillor for RDD, Tourism and Zanskar Affairs, Er Punchok Tashi along with Councillor Sapi Constituency, Nasir Hussain Munshi today visited Sapi village to inspect the pace and progress of developmental works.

During the visit, the EC reviewed various ongoing developmental works including those under the PWD, Rural Development and Tourism.

AEE, REW, Mohd Yousuf, JEE, REW, Mohd Ali, Sarpanch, Nawang Stanzin accompanied the EC during the tour. EC Tashi visited the Changyul mohalla, Doqs Mohalla, Goma Lar and Balti Khar.

The EC inspected the pace ongoing works and t progress achieved on construction newly constructed Panchayat Ghar, Gompa, Imam Bargah, Community Hall and Homestays.

Expressing satisfaction over the progress achieved on various PWD and RDD works, EC Tashi appreciated the role of the concerned executing agencies.

He stressed to work with zeal to complete the remaining works within the set timeline. The EC also focused on quality and quantity parameters so that people get the maximum benefit from government schemes.

During the visit, the villagers projected number of demands such as Shagaran Ground for Horse Polo, Ice Hockey Rink, Green Houses, Polycarbonate Sheets, Solar Drift Irrigation and other demands.

The EC and Councillor gave a patient hearing to the demands raised by people and assured them that all their projected demands will be fulfilled in due course of time. Responding to the demands, the EC directed to identify a location for Horse Polo Ground.

EC said there is no dearth of funds and the developmental activities are going in full swing under the UT Administration.

EC Tashi also said LAHDC Kargil under Chairman/CEC Feroz Ahmad Khan is taking concrete measures to accelerate the pace of developmental works in all sectors in the district.

During the event, the villagers also organized a cultural program. Earlier, the inhabitants of these villages accorded a warm welcome to the EC and Councillor and thanked them for taking first-hand appraisal of their grievances and demands.
