Every Infant Matters Starts Large Scale Mal Nutrition and Prevention Project in Kargil

 

KARGIL,JULY 12 : Every Infant Matters organisation started a large-scale malnutrition, prevention and treatment project in District Kargil from the first village of India at LOC, Hunderman Brok.

 

The project was inaugurated by the Chief Medical Officer Dr Munawar Wazir, in the presence of Shikha Tikoo, Regional Director, Every Infant Matters, Government officials, Medical Officers from various blocks of the District, NGO representatives, and the local communities.

 

CMO Kargil Dr Munnawar Wazir appreciating the initiatives taken by various NGOs including the Every Infant Matters NGO in health centre in this frontier district of the country said that such initiatives boost the morale of the Health workers to give their 100% for the welfare of the public and it’s the responsibility of the people to make use of such initiatives efficiently.

 

Shikha Tikoo Regional Director for the project said that they are grateful to the donors, the great Eastern CSR Foundation who has allocated resources for purchase of albendazole syrup, vitamin A, protein kits, for malnourished, women and children, and backpacks for community health workers.

 

She further added that they are a non profit organisation serving the disadvantaged population with last mile health solutions which believes in justice and inclusion, and promoting health equality for all and fight malnutrition and its serious side effects.

 

She concluded by saying that their flagship project is giving vitamin A to malnourished children to prevent permanent blindness, and save lives and Protein kits to malnourished children and pregnant women.
