GDC Drass organizes talk on importance of IGNOU programs
KARGIL, SEPTEMBER 17, 2022:
Government Degree College, Drass today organized a talk on the importance of programs offered by Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU).
In this regard, Dr Shahnawaz Ahmad Dar, Regional Director, IGNOU, for Regional Centre Srinagar, J&K was invited to the college campus under the supervision of Dr Amjad Ali Abassi Principal, GDC, Drass.
The program was conducted by a welcome speech given by Hyder Ali Askary, Assistant Professor of Sociology. He gave a brief introduction about the guest speaker and presented traditional Khatak to him.
Dr Shahnawaz gave a brief presentation about various programs conducted by IGNOU and highlighted e-learning resources provided by the university on the different websites.
He also mentioned about the study materials and examination schedules of IGNOU. He said students from all over India and abroad can directly communicate with the concerned resource persons by contacting directly on the IGNOU’s website.
Dr Shahnawaz also explained that IGNOU is conducting a six-day workshop on National Education Policy (2020) – Professional Development Program for the faculties working in different degree colleges of India.
Later, Askary presented vote of thanks and acknowledged the guest speaker for visiting the college campus. He also thanked the faculty and students for attending the program.
