‘Good Governance Day’ program held at Lotsum Darket

Kargil, Dec 20, 2022: In connection with the celebration of ‘Good Governance Week’ being observed across Kargil district, Horticulture Department in collaboration with Agriculture Department today organized an awareness camp at Lotsum Darket in which farmers of Skamboo, Lotsum, Darket, Shargole and Mulbekh participated.

Liaqat Ali, Senior Technician of Horticulture Department spoke about the importance of crop diversification, fruit crop ecology, organic farming and orchard management. He also discussed different welfare schemes of the Horticulture Department.

During the training, the resource person of the Agriculture Department gave awareness about bio-fertilizers, vermicompost unit and PM Kisan.

Sarpanch Skamboo Lotsum emphasized on attending the awareness camps conducted by the departments for the benefit of the farming community at large.

The participating farmers also requested to conduct such awareness camps during the spring season before the sowing season. AEO Shargole thanked the farmers for attending the awareness camp.
