Therefore, the Compulsory requirement of the Ladakh Resident certificate should be made a prerequisite in the recruitment of Assistant professors at Ladakh University.

The students appearing for the National Eligibility Test has to travel more than 200 km to Srinagar in UT of Jammu and Kashmir or Leh in Ladakh which is at a distance of 240 km.

Meanwhile,Hassan Pasha requested the Minister to set up an Examination centre for the National Eligibility Test in the Kargil district of Ladakh.

He also informed the minister that a large number of students from Kargil are pursuing their courses through distance mode from IGNOU for which they have to travel to other cities for examination and admission-related purposes. Therefore, it was requested to set up a proper regional centre of IGNOU in the Kargil district itself.

He put forth the reservation criteria in minority educational institutions i.e. Jamia Millia Islamia and Aligarh Muslim University is vague and disproportionately affect the ST students and favour SC students since the cut-off for these categories are announced jointly by the University. So, there is a need for the separation of seats reserved for ST/Sc students.
