ICDS Project Zanskar celebrates Poshan Maah at Sani village

KARGIL, SEPTEMBER 15, 2022:

As part of Poshan Abhiyan, ICDS Project Zanskar on Wednesday celebrated Poshan Maah with the theme Poshan Panchayat at Sani village of Panchayat Halqa Salapi-Gyapak.

The program was attended by villagers of Sani and Soo Sani, students, teachers of Middle School Sani and Anganwadi Workers and Helpers.

The program was aimed to aware participants about the importance of healthy, nutritional life, diet and the importance of local, traditional foods and their inclusion in daily meals.

The participants were also given awareness on different services and schemes of ICDS and the Social Welfare Department including PMMVY, Scholarships and different pension schemes.

Different services and schemes for Children in Need of Care and Protection (CNCP) were also thoroughly discussed by ICPS staff.

A quiz competition on different locally available foods and the nutritional composition was also organized among the student of Middle School Sani as part of the program.
