LAHDC Kargil allots 500 kanals of land for SAI Centre Kargil

KARGIL, NOV 10, 2022:

Chairman/CEC, LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan today announced that LAHDC, Kargil has allotted 500 kanal of land to Sports Authority of India for SAI Centre in Kargil and distributed sports kit amongst sportspersons of the SAI Centre Kargil.

The CEC hoped that a state-of-the-art facility will be established by SAI in Kargil making proper utilization of the resources and making its one of the topmost centres in India.

He said the Centre will act as High Altitude training centre of SAI in India which will further help in boosting the talent of youth across UT Ladakh.

Khan said after Ladakh became Union Territory, sports infrastructure is coming up at many locations and in near future Kargil will have best facilities available and for which LAHDC Kargil has already initiated the process with the help of the UT Administration.

The CEC stressed for proper utilization of the facilities of SAI Centre Kargil. He urged the sports enthusiasts of SAI Kargil to give their 100 percent so that they can earn a name at the national and international level.

The CEC later distributed the annual sports kit amongst sportspersons of the SAI Kargil.

In-charge DYSSO Kargil Mohd Yousuf, General Secretary District Olympic Association Kargil Syed Mehraj-Ud-Din Shah, General Secretary Ladakh Taekwondo Association Anayat Ali, In-charge SAI Centre Kargil Ghulam Mustafa, Taekwondo Coach Mohd Ali and Sajjad Hussain (BOB) who is volunteering as guest teacher for sportspersons of the SAI were present on the occasion.
