RD&PRD rolls out 2-day training program on GPDP, revamped eGramSwaraj portal in Kargil 

KARGIL NOV 09, 2022: Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department (RD&PRD) Kargil today rolled out a two-day training program on Gram Panchayat Development Plans (GPDP) and revamped eGramSwaraj Portal for preparation of Panchayat Development Plan (PDP) from October 02 to December 31 for GPDP 2023-24 to achieve localization of sustainable goal, at ACD Hall, Baroo, Kargil.

The training program was held under the supervision of District Panchayat Officer (DPO) Padma Angmo in which BDOs, Sarpanches, VLWs, CIC Operators and NRLM Coordinators and members of Self-Help Groups from Kargil, Shakar Chiktan, TSG, Barsoo, Sankoo and Tai-Suru blocks participated. While as Karsha, Zanskar and Lungnak blocks were given training virtually. It was informed that the nine themes related to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) must be achieved by 2030 through panchayats.

The DPO provided details about the People’s Plan Campaign during the program. She briefed the participants regarding their duties and roles. She said GPDP is a participatory plan to involve the villagers for the betterment and development of the village. The DPO also stressed on the formation of Gram Panchayat Plan Facilitator Team (GPPFT) in each panchayat.

In the afternoon session, practical session on revamped GPDP and eGramSwaraj portal was conducted by district CIC operator in which participants were practically trained. They were also given handholding activities for plan uploading.
