An extraordinary meeting with the representatives of Daily wagers/Casual Labours of Ladakh was Chaired by Sh. Jamyang Tsering Namgyal Hon’ble Member of Parliament (LS) Ladakh in the presence of Sh. Ajeet Kumar Sahu Commissioner/Secretary (R&B), Sh. Prakash Tanoch the Cheif Engineer (R&B) and Sh. Shrikant Suse DC/CEO, LAHDC Leh to discussed the matters of regularisation and wage enhancement of daily wagers/Casual labours who have been sitting on Dharna.
After thorough discussion of all the matters pertaining to the daily wagers/casual labours and the progress report of the Committee constituted by the Administration of UT Ladakh on the matters and possible solution to provide relief, the Commissioner Secretary briefed about the progress and put forth his suggestive measures on behalf of the UT Administration, to which the daily wager/Casual labours unanimously decided to call off their strike from today onwards.
