Secretary Kacho Mehboob Ali Khan reviews Tourism & Culture projects under execution by CPWD
Leh, Nov 03: Secretary, Tourism and Culture, Ladakh Kacho Mehboob Ali Khan today chaired a meeting to review the status of projects being executed by Central Public Works Department (CPWD) in Ladakh.
The status of works already assigned to CPWD of Tourism and Culture Department which are important for creation of requisite infrastructure to make Ladakh a year-round tourist destination was reviewed.
The Secretary highlighted that the projects should conform to carbon neutrality, solar passive, winter-friendly and disabled-friendly and all the projects to be designed with local architecture and local material (as far as possible).
The Secretary emphasized that the projects have to be executed and completed in a time-bound manner.
The meeting was attended by Director Tourism, Kunzes Angmo; Executive Engineer, CPWD, Rahul Singh; Deputy Secretary, Culture, Leh, Tsewang Paljor; Deputy Secretary Culture, Kargil, Nazir Hussain; AD Tourism,Leh Tsering Spalzes, AD Tourism, Kargil, Aga Syed Toha, OSD/Under Secretary Tourism and Culture Muhammad Ali Tak besides other concerned officers.
