SVEEP awareness program on SSR held at Kargil Campus UoL

Kargil, Nov 21, 2022: Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) Kargil today organized an awareness program on Special Summary Revision (SSR) of Photo Electoral Rolls at Kargil Campus, University of Ladakh (UoL).

Deputy District Election Officer, Nargis Banoo, Tehsildar and AERO Sankoo Sajjad Hussain, Incharge Rector Kargil Campus Dr Jaffar Khan, District Nodal Officer SVEEP Kargil Ghulam Rasool, core members of SVEEP besides PRI members, BLOs and students were present on the occasion.

Deputy DEO Kargil gave a speech on the importance of the training program and stressed on participants to take more benefit of the training program.

The Tehsildar/AERO Sankoo stressed on the participants how to enrol in electoral roll.

District SVEEP Nodal Officer briefed about various SVEEP activities in the district.

Core Member, SVEEP Kargil, Anwar Hussain presented a presentation on the initiatives taken by District SVEEP team in sensitizing public especially prospective voters in the district.

Sajjad Hussain, expert from Election Cell, Kargil gave a detailed presentation on voters’ registration process.

Syed Ali, Booth Level Officer Trespone expressed gratitude to members of SVEEP for conducting of awareness program on special summary revision.

Muzammil Ahad, Assistant Professor, Political Science presented a speech on democracy.

Bashir Hussain, core member SVEEP Kargil presented vote of thanks while Hakima Banoo student of MA Political Science presented welcome speech. Dr Younus Ahmad, Assistant Professor, Political Science conducted the program proceedings.
