Public residing nearby downstream of barrage intimated not to go near river side under any circumstances during flushing period

According to the General Manager (CPS), Chuttuk Power Station, NHPC Limited Kargil, Silt Flushing at Chutuk Barrage shall be carried out on 5th June, 2021 from 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Water level in the river downstream of Chutak Barrage would rise above the existing levels due to the release of water, the General Manager (CPS) has stated.
In this connection, all the public residing nearby downstream of barrage have been intimated not to go near the river side under any circumstances during the flushing period.
General Manager (CPS) has said Chuttuk Power Station, NHPC shall also be making public announcement in this regard. He has further stated that there shall be no power supply from Chuttuk Power Station during the period of flushing.
