Agriculture Dept Leh organises training prog on mushroom cultivation

Leh, April 15: The Department of Agriculture, Leh organised a training programme on ‘Mushroom cultivation’ under the OSAP subsidy component of LAHDC Leh at the Departmental Farm, Guphuks today.

A total of 32 farmers of Sham region hailing from different villages, including Lamayuru, Saspol, Nurla, Hipti, Takmachik, Tia, Skubuchan, Achinathang and Dhomkhar participated in the programme.

The training on mushroom cultivation was imparted by the Sub-Divisional Agriculture Officer, Leh, Shakeel-ur-Rehman. While Assistant Agrostologist Ibrahim briefed the participants about the importance of organic farming and its benefits.

At the end, mushroom spawns, poly bags and black polythene were distributed to the participants.
