CEC Dr. Mohd Jaffer Tours to Sangrah and Tai Suru

 

KARGIL, NOVEMBER 25 – Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor,LAHDC, Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon,today toured to Sangrah and Tai Suru to address issues and pledging comprehensive development for the regions.

 

Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kargil, Councillor Parkachik Aga Ainul Huda, Councillor Tai Suru Abdul Hadi, former councillor Tai Suru Syed Abass Razvi, SE PHE, ACD, Kargil, Assistant Director Tourism, SDM, Sankoo, Executive Engineer, PHE, Kargil, Executive Engineer, I&FC,Executive Engineer, SVD, Sankoo, besides other officers and officials accompanied the CEC during the tour.

 

At Sangrah, Acknowledging the exemplary efforts of the school faculty and Village Education Committee, the CEC responded positively to demands for wood paneling, central heating, teacher shortages, and various village development concerns.

 

He assured swift resolutions during his tenure. He added that the school has taken in Model High School and MoU also signed .

 

Dr Jaffer assured to provide an ambulance or mini bus in the upcoming FISCAL YEAR from his constituency development fund (CDF).

 

The CEC, in a thorough discussion, addressed issues ranging from Jal Jeevan Mission, library enhancements, health and wellness centers, roads and related to tourism.

 

Expressing gratitude for public cooperation in developmental activities, the CEC pledged to make Sangrah a model village.

 

The villagers apprised the CEC about the damage caused to the public property due to floods during consecutive years of 2021 and 2022 in Sangrah Nallah and requested for Nallah training and protection work and in response, the CEC assured restoration of the Nallah in the upcoming working season. He directed the concerned authorities to formulate a suitable plan ensuring proper protection and incorporating opportunities for beautification of the banks of Sangrah Nallah

 

Furthermore, the CEC directed the AD Tourism to collaborate with senior citizens to explore Sangrah’s historical sites, aiming to integrate them into the tourism map.

 

The tour extended to Tai Suru, where a delegation from Padum to Puktikchey submitted a range of memorandum related to power, land compensation, water access, road development, health, education, helipad in Tai Suru, Gandoola Project, playgrounds, stadium, E-bus fare reduction, education infrastructure, teaching staff shortage, plumber shortage, school upgradation, mining, and various other concerns.

 

The CEC assured redressal from the priority sector, addressing issues such as plumber shortage, to which the SE, hydraulic Maqbool Hussain said that 150 outsourcing plumber is sanctioned and before winter shortage will resolve.

 

The CEC also directed the SDM Sankoo to explore the land compensation issues under right to fair compensation.

 

The ACD, Kargil Ghulam Mohd informed that a project of rock garden at a cost of 23 crore is approved in the first phase and 40 canal land is identified at Khous and also seeks cooperation from the villagers.

 

Later, the CEC reiterated his commitment to providing all possible support from the council, ensuring basic needs fulfillment during his tenure.
